  • Rebecca Harris

    DONOR LIAISON

    Rebecca is RAD's Donor Liaison, she is always keen to build relationships and help people to minimise waste and bridge the digital divide. Working within the community and towards digital equity are causes close to her heart.

    Rebecca works remotely in Ōtepoti but you can track her down over email or phone wherever you are in New Zealand.

  • Eva Riddell

    COMMUNITY & SCHOOL LIAISON

    Eva grew up in the predominantly Māori community of Tokomaru Bay in Te Tairāwhiti. For the majority of her professional career she has held positions that work with Māori whānau from working in advocacy, iwi development, Māori enterprise and most recently, co-founding Oi Collective, a wāhine Māori social innovation company that specialises in capability building and redesigning services for Māori. She is passionate about alternative education and brings her experience in designing and facilitating rangatahi social enterprise and governance programmes to RAD.

    Eva lives in Ōtautahi Christchurch, and has come on board part-time as a RAD Community & Schools Liaison.

  • Anthony Manu

    COMMUNITY & SCHOOL LIAISON

    Anthony is a natural community connector passionate about community and harnessing the potential of rangatahi. Along with his whānau, Anthony founded and directs Tei Mua Tatou, a Cook Island student service, and successful RAD club. Anthony is generous with sharing his experience to support new and existing RAD clubs.

    Anthony lives in Māngere, Tāmaki Makaurau and has come on board part-time as a RAD Community & Schools Liaison focusing on Northland, Auckland and Waikato.

  • Bronwyn Scott

    GENERAL MANAGER

    Raised in Bridge Pa, Te Matau-a-Māui (Hawkes Bay), Bronnie was always looking skyward, leading to a career as a commercial pilot and flying instructor before diverting into the world of technology as a contracts specialist, team leader and project manager. Based in Ōtautahi Christchurch, Bronnie’s been our GM since 2021, and was the project manager of RAD during the start-up phase.

  • Kelsey Hallahan

    PROGRAMME MANAGER

    Kelsey has a background in primary teaching and resource production for New Zealand kaiako (teachers). She is passionate about supporting kaiako, tamariki and rangatahi to develop their digital technology capabilities and bridging the digital divide in Aotearoa through hands on experiences and relevant resources. Kelsey is based in Kirikiriroa (Hamilton) and keeps the RAD wheels turning supporting team members and ensuring laptops move through the RAD process.

Our kaitiaki

Recycle A Device operates as a programme under Digital Future Aotearoa’s umbrella, however, the kaitiaki responsibility falls to a group of volunteer stakeholders passionate about digital equity.

  • Owyn Aitken

    CO-CHAIR

    Owyn is Director of Remojo Tech, the YES organisation who established the Aotea College based, student led device refurbishment initiative which RAD grew from, and is the Co-Chair of Recycle A Device’s kaitiaki team.

    Currently studying at Otago University in Dunedin, Owyn also travels the country delivering our one day refurbishment workshops and provides technical expertise to our programme.

    Owyn grew up in Porirua and is of Raukawa ki te Tonga descent.

  • Joel Umali

    CO-CHAIR

    Joel Umali has worked as an economist, aid worker, and advisor for international development projects focusing on community empowerment, social finance and digital inclusion. He is currently the lead intrapreneur for tech and innovation at The Southern Initiative of the Auckland Council.

    Joel has been involved in a number of digital equity initiatives including setting up makerspaces and innovation hubs, working with lead partners to prototype disruptive learning models such as internships, career accelerators and tech apprenticeships and amplifying local tech ecosystems in South Auckland.

  • Greg Scrivin

    Greg lives in Papamoa with his Dietitian wife and 3 teenage sons. He is a Bilingual Science and Digital Technology teacher at Te Wharekura o Mauao in Tauranga. Greg has taught overseas for several years in London and Abu Dhabi and has a lot of international curriculum and tech integration experience. Greg sees RAD as a great way to empower disadvantaged communities and bridge the digital divide for Māori students and whānau, and is currently working on bringing the RAD programme to other kura Māori around the country.

  • Siddharth Kumar

    Siddharth (Sid) is a technology leader, who has championed Digital Equity and Inclusion even before these terms were popular. He has worked with organizations such as OMGTech and Spark Foundation, to help create awareness of Digital Equity. He has over 20 years of global technology experience, spanning across cultures.

    During his career at Spark New Zealand, Sid started Spark's computer recycle and donation initiative. This initiative donated over 2000 laptops across schools, communities and voluntary organizations.
